Is the Schengen visa fee the same in every country?
Yes: €90 for adults everywhere (€45 for children aged 6 to 11). The application centre's service fee varies; EU law normally caps it at €45.
Is the visa fee refunded if I am refused?
No. Schengen, UK and US visa fees are not refunded after a refusal.
Do I pay the US $250 visa integrity fee?
Not yet. It is in a 2025 US law, but the State Department's fee schedule did not list it when we last checked (1 November 2026).
